The Clean 15: Foods You Don’t Have To Buy Organic

It’s a well known fact that a lot of produce is sprayed with pesticides and chemicals to keep bugs at bay. As a result,  the “Buy Organic” craze has spurred stores to create entire Organic sections in an attempt to provide healthier alternatives.  Unfortunately, these sections can be extremely expensive.

So what if you want to make better choices, but can’t afford to buy everything organic? That’s OK.

The Environmental Working Group provided a food guide that lists the “Clean 15”.  These are the 15 foods that have the lowest levels of pesticides and are considered “Consistently Clean.”  The fruits and vegetables on this list were the least likely to have pesticides on the parts you eat after normal washing.
